Intemperie

Intemperie is an artist exhibition platform based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Intemperie (meaning ‘In the open air’) has no fixed physical space- it is neither strictly an artist collective nor a gallery in the conventional sense but somewhere in-between. Intemperie, directed by artists Gonzalo Maggi and Coty Chiappini, collaborates with various artists and organizations throughout Latin America to generate installations that arise site-specifically, often in non-conventional contexts, and brings them to trace alliances with other artistic projects and institutions.

The artists in this collective come from diverse Argentine provinces, moving away from the centrality enforced by capitals over Latin-American art circuits. The nomadic and de-centralized nature of Intemperie exemplify a form of resistance in the field of arts programming, as well as in the way of structuring an artistic community.

Intemperie artists: Gisella Scotta, Gonzalo Maggi, Francisco Vazquez Murillo, Alejandra Mizrahi, Camila Carella, Constanza Chiappini, Julia Rossetti, Malcon D’stefano
